Carbon Reduction Plan

Publication date:27/01/23

Commitment to achieving Net Zero

GGMR is committed to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2025.

Baseline Emissions Footprint

Baseline emissions are a record of the greenhouse gases that have been produced in the past and were produced prior to the introduction of any strategies to reduce emissions. Baseline emissions are the reference point against which emissions reduction can be measured.

Baseline Year: 01/01/22 – 31/12/22

Additional Details relating to the Baseline Emissions calculations.

Our baseline emissions year was at the start of January 2022. All employees were working remotely with no commuting, and minimal business travel, largely by the companyfounders.

Our working from home model has proved highly successful and productive, therefore there are no plans to for all GGMR to work or operate from our serviced office in Corsham. We will only keep this address for company registration purposes. Consequently, all of our emissions were due to electricity and heat from home working (Scope 2).

We do not have any company vehicles or machinery.

Reporting Year: 01/01/23 – 31/12//23 (Forecasted)

Our current emissions cover 2022/23 and are expected to reduce, as employee numbers have also reduced, andthey continue to work from home.

Emissions reduction targets

This is our organisation’s second carbon footprint. To progressachieving Net Zero, we plan to choose the most viable carbon efficient options practicable to us and use carbon offsetting.

We project that we will be able to reduce carbon emissions over the next two years by 50%. We will attempt to do this sooner, if possible, but there is currently still considerable uncertainty about the course of the pandemic which affects business travel.

All GGMR employees will continue to work remotely to reduce emissions, and there are no plans, for employees to work or operate from our head office in Corsham. This is only being used for business registration purposes and infrequent meeting with key management members 1-2 times a month.

Carbon Reduction Projects

To achieve our goal of reaching Net Zero by 2025, we will be instigating the following policies, which will be in place during the delivery of our contracts:

• For business travel:
o Encourage staff to walk, cycle or use public transport
o Encourage staff to purchase electric or hybrid vehicles
• For home working:
o As of 2020/2021GGMR employees are provided with or able to expense energy efficient lightbulbs for their home office spaces and will be incentivised with subsidies if they are operating from their home environment with renewable energy resources.
o We will take every measure to instigate carbon offsetting plans at each GGMR employee’s house, to ensure there is maximum efficiency.
o We will create a working from home questionnaire to identify, measure and respond to individual employee’s energy consumption, and effectiveness.
• For selecting suppliers:
o Adding extra weighting in the section process for suppliers that are carbon efficient.
o Making it a mandatory requirement for suppliers in a bidding process to provide their Carbon Reduction Plan including their Net Zero 2050 commitment.

Measurements of our carbon emissions will be communicated in quarterly management meetings, resulting in a clear roadmap/plan of action to support and address any issues and identify new carbon reduction measures to ensure we remain on track for Net Zero 2025.
